Our Story
In the wake of devastating LA fires that have swept through our beloved Malibu, we find ourselves facing unprecedented challenges. We woke up Tuesday morning seeing and smelling smoke. We had no idea our lives and the lives of our neighbors would never be the same. As local residents and small business owners, we've been displaced from our home and forced to temporarily close our sanctuary space, Veritas Yoga. The road closures, curfews, and economic uncertainty have brought us to crossroads, but our spirit remains unbroken. We are "flexible" yogis after all. Despite these hardships, our commitment to mental health and community wellness burns brighter than ever. We believe that in times of tragedy, the power of togetherness and inner peace becomes paramount. That's why we're committed to continue offering our classes, workshops and wellness programs to our beloved community.
Our Mission: Rising from the Ashes
Eleven days later the LA Fires still burned, we were still under mandatory evacuation and unable to return to our home or Yoga Studio. We sought clean air and safety with family. As we felt the weight of this tragedy we turned to the alchemy of art as we often do in our family. We envisioned a candle. We used our hearts and hands to craft something beautiful - our handmade Phoenix candles.

The Phoenix Candle holds a flame that does not destroy but inspires. Each candle crafted by hand with a clay vessel born from the earth, meant to hold light and intention. To hold prayers for renewal. Beacons for those who lost so much. And when the flame is spent, the story continues. The vessel becomes a pot, waiting to hold soul and seeds - a promise of growth, of life returning. It is a small act, but profound: planting something new, watching it rise with the spirit of the Phoenix that lives within us all. From flame to flower - we burn to bloom. Our prayer for our neighbors and all of LA.
